====== Step 4 — Build a Course ======

A course is a sequence of lessons arranged on the [[educator:workflow|Workflow Canvas]].

===== Open the Workflow Canvas =====

  - Navigate to your class → **Workflow**
  - The canvas opens blank (or with any existing nodes)

===== Add Lessons to the Canvas =====

  - Click **Add Lesson Node** in the toolbar
  - Click on the canvas to place it
  - In the node panel, select your lesson from the dropdown
  - Repeat for each lesson in the course

===== Connect the Lessons =====

  - Hover over a node — connection handles appear on the edges
  - Drag from the right handle of the first lesson to the left handle of the second
  - Repeat to create the full learning path
  - For branching paths, connect one node to multiple next nodes

===== Add a Quiz =====

  - Click **Add Assessment Node**
  - Place it after the lesson(s) it assesses
  - Connect the lesson node to the quiz node

===== Save the Workflow =====

  - Click **Save Workflow** — the canvas does not auto-save
  - The course is now structured but not yet visible to learners
