A Material is a link to a piece of content attached to a lesson. LEAST does not host files — it links to content on external platforms. Each material has a URL, a type, and optional metadata.

When you save a material with a URL from a known embeddable platform (YouTube, Vimeo), LEAST automatically sets the display mode to embedded player. Other URLs default to an external link.
