Instructor-Led Training (ILT)

Overview

The ILT module manages scheduled face-to-face or virtual training sessions. Sessions appear in the Training Calendar and learner calendars.

Creating an ILT Session

  1. Navigate to Admin → ILT Sessions (admin/ilt-sessions.php)
  2. Click New Session
  3. Enter:
    • Session title
    • Date, start time, end time
    • Location (room name, building, or virtual meeting URL)
    • Maximum capacity
    • Linked lesson or course (optional — used for progress tracking)
  4. Save — the session is now bookable by learners

Managing Enrolments

From the session management page:

  • View who has booked
  • Add learners directly (admin override of capacity)
  • Remove a learner from the session
  • Send a reminder email to all enrolled learners

Recording Attendance

After the session:

  1. Open the session → Attendance
  2. Mark each enrolled learner as: Attended, Absent — Excused, Absent — Unexcused, or Late
  3. Save — attendance is recorded and flows into cohort progress reporting

Training Calendar

Training Calendar (admin/training-calendar.php) shows all scheduled ILT sessions in a monthly view:

  • Click a session to view details and manage enrolment
  • Filter by date range, trainer, or location
  • Learners see the same calendar in their Learner Training Calendar
