Managing Lessons

What is a Lesson?

A Lesson is the core learning unit in LEAST. Each lesson has a title, description, and one or more materials (links to content). LEAST links to content hosted elsewhere — YouTube, Vimeo, external websites, SCORM packages — rather than storing files directly.

Creating a Lesson

  1. Navigate to your class → Lessons → New Lesson
  2. Enter: title, description, and learning objectives
  3. Set: subject area, pillar (curriculum area), difficulty level
  4. Save — you can now add materials

Editing a Lesson

  1. Open the lesson from the class lesson list
  2. Click Edit to modify title, description, or metadata
  3. Changes are visible to learners immediately

Lesson Metadata

AI-Assisted Tagging

LEAST can automatically suggest role tags, skill connections, and EKOS competency links for lessons using the AI Enrichment Tools. Review AI suggestions before publishing.

Publishing and Visibility

  • Draft — visible only to educators; not shown to learners
  • Published — available to learners in the class
  • Archived — hidden from the lesson list but preserved in history

Lesson Review Queue

When using the AI content pipeline, new lessons enter a Review Queue before going live:

  1. Navigate to Educator → Lesson Review Queue
  2. Review AI-generated metadata
  3. Approve or edit before publishing

Tracking Progress

Learner engagement with lessons is tracked automatically. View per-lesson statistics in Analytics & Reports.
