When you’re ready to make the most of your LEAST Software installation we have a variety of posts and category areas which explain some of the technicalities and capabilities of the platform.

With the platform elements in place, there are a number of configuration settings which tailor the platform to your circumstance.

There is a number of global constants which need to be configured.

Email server access

A mail server, username and password is required.

The LEAST Platform is built on a LAMP or WAMP stack. We can install and configure your solution for you, of if you want to take it on yourself here is an outline of the key stages.

Looking at the stack, the platform needs in place…

1. Linux or Windows, whichever works best for you
2. Apache
3. MySQL
4. PHP

With the basic stack up and running, then is a case of installing and configuring a number of services within the configuration.

• Scheduled Tasks: Access to CRON (Linux) or a Scheduled Task running a VBScript
• Emails: Access to a mail server with appropriate firewall permissions
• HTTP: Numerous services retrieve information via CURL, so again firewall permissions are essential

With the essentials in place, there are two packages to install.

1. Website PHP files
2. MySQL database creation script

Depending on how you want to operate the platform, we can provide a SaaS (Software as a Service) approach or we can install the solution on your infrastructure with remote access.
